Hihi

These earrings are inspired by the Hihi or Stitchbird, one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s special native birds, and the native trees that help sustain them.

The wood used in this design comes from pūriri and kāpuka/coprosma trees, both of which produce berries enjoyed by Hihi. The natural timber, rich earthy tones and layered textures create an organic design that celebrates the connection between our native birds and the plants they depend on.

Each pair carries a little piece of that story — from the trees that provide food, to the birds that bring our forests to life. The natural grain and colour variations in the wood also mean every pair is unique.
